A bit confused by the negative reviews about this place. One of my top go to restaurants. Food is great, love the Jap Chae, spicy rice cake, and some other dishes. All of my friends and family who have gone seem to love it as well. Will return for sure.

Stopped by here for their BBQ and regular dishes. It was good classic Korean food! Nothing to rave about, but they do it very well. The barbecue is done right and they grill the meats for you. I loved the marination on the steak and beef and found it very tender. The glass noodles had lots of seafood and veggies and were bouncy and chewy! I also really liked their spicy rice cakes. They have two floors inside and can serve big groups easily too. Service was great and they were very attentive when helping grill the meats.

I finished my meal before looking this up on Yelp and I am surprised with the current lower rating. Came here for lunch on a very sunny summer saturday after walking under the sun, so was looking for some cold noodles. The kongguksu does just that - a soothing soybean broth (that you can control the saltiness with salt on the side) served cold with thin noodles. This together with a bottle of Asahi beer hit the sweet spot perfectly. I also shared the bossam with my table and it is delicious as well. Frankly I have not tried the BBQ items - but at least I can say the cold noodles and bossam are great and good for price too.

Had a pretty lovely late-night experience, maybe that's the way that the Kunjip should be experienced considering the range of reviews here. Came here around 11pm as a group of 4, seated immediately upstairs because it's not busy at this hour. The waitstaff were friendly and welcoming. Our food came quickly. Got a huge Korean BBQ to share, which was so flavorful and nicely grilled in front of us in multiple courses. Plenty of lettuce, sauces/salt, and banchan. Would be back again!

I was nervous to come here because of the conflicting reviews, but I had a good experience with both the food and service. We ordered the galbi tang and dolsot bibimbop + soybean soup combo. The galbi tang had a generous amount of meat and the soup was a satisfying flavor that wasn't overly salty like some places can be. I would definitely recommend this one! The bibimbop combo was what we had expected, I just wish their gochujang sauce was spicier. Overall, their banchan selection was pretty good too, but their cabbage and radish kimchis were disappointing. Hopefully, this will be improved!

This place was recommended to me. I ordered the ground beef bulgogi but the beef was so finely chopped that I didn't even taste it. I tasted more rice. I was disappointed. It wasn't cheap. For $25, I expected more protein or at least taste it. The service was good. I had some free Korean appetizers that were tasty. I can't say I would be back. The price point is high.

After missing Korean food after being on vacation, we ordered squid stir fry with noodles and bulgogi in a stone pot. The cuisine is very homestyle. The side dishes were good at 5 or 6 different kinds and refills were offered freely. Customer service was good although I had a native with me so that always makes a difference.

After enjoying Tulip Day, I wanted to try some authentic Korean cuisine, so I decided to revisit The Kunjip. This time, I went with my girlfriend and she made a reservation. We were greeted warmly upon arrival and we were seated on the second floor next to a window, which added to the pleasant dining experience, and I liked the interior of the restaurant. For our dishes, my girlfriend ordered the scallion pancake, which she thoroughly enjoyed along with the flavorful side dishes provided. I got the chicken bibimbap with the seafood tofu soup. The chicken bibimbap was satisfying, and I wanted some bibimbap sauce to add a bit of spice to it, which elevated the flavor. The seafood tofu soup was amazing, hearty and delicious. Overall, I appreciated the authenticity of the food at The Kunjip, and I left feeling pleased with the experience. I would definitely consider returning to try some more of their Korean specialties. If you're looking for some genuine Korean cuisine in the area, The Kunjip is worth a visit.
